I feel somewhat uncomfortable writing this blog and suggesting that I am a teacher. The truth is that I have considerable experience within an industry that many people consider to be pretty new: I'm talking, as you will have guessed from the heading of this blog, about cloud computing.

 

Of course, the starting point here is to point out that the industry isn't quite as new as many people think: it's certainly become fashionable, however, to discuss it in recent years. There are all sorts of examples of why your business should get into this area. As with any industry, there are some great insights on offer and there are others who seek to confuse.

 

I rather hope that my role here will be to offer insights. Over time, I hope very much to be able to add regular comments. Whether you are looking at data backup options or want to go the whole hog and examine enterprise file sharing and sync (you may not yet know what that means, but don't worry...all will be revealed!) 

 

I should also make it clear that I'm only just getting to grips with Wix, although it looks like a fantastic platform. I've so far learned how to handle the basics and I hope to be able to customise this blog over time. For now, I'm happy to be up and running. I'd be grateful if you can bear with me, as I start to understand more and more.

 

In some ways, of course, Wix and other such applications are an excellent example of cloud computing in action. If you're starting point is an assumption that you don't know anything about this topic, then that may tell you that you already know more than you may have thought. I hope to be able to tell you more.
